The Augure desktop app (Desktop 3, in beta) brings agentic work to your computer. It can create documents, spreadsheets and presentations, run research and use tools on your machine while you follow along, redirect it or stop it.
Always download it from the desktop page on augureai.ca. That page always has the current build.
Requirements
- Mac: Apple Silicon or Intel, macOS 14 or later. The app is signed and notarized by Apple.
- Windows: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (beta).
- Linux: x86-64, as an AppImage or a .deb package. Tested on Ubuntu 24.04.
The first setup needs an internet connection. Files and tools run on your computer, but AI requests go to Augure's model service, so the app does not work fully offline.
Install on Mac
- Download the Mac build from the desktop page.
- Open the download and install Augure.
- Launch Augure and sign in with your Augure account.
Install on Windows
- Download the Windows installer from the desktop page.
- Run the installer.
- If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen), choose More info, then Run anyway. The beta installer is not code-signed yet, which is why Windows warns about an unknown publisher. Only do this for an installer you downloaded from augureai.ca.
- Launch Augure and sign in.
Install on Linux
- AppImage: make the file executable (
chmod +xfollowed by the file name), then run it. - .deb: install it with your package manager, for example
sudo apt install ./followed by the file name.
Then launch Augure and sign in.
Troubleshooting
- Black screen, won't load, or a model error: quit the app completely and open it again. If that doesn't fix it, reinstall the current build from the desktop page. Your conversations and settings live in your account, so nothing is lost.
- The app uses the wrong account or plan: sign out in the app, then sign in with the account that has your plan.
